Fishing the Dropping Tide

The family decided we needed to fish some saltwater today. We had delusions of grandeur in catching croaker, puppy drums, spot and schoolie stripers and decided fishing around Annapolis would be our best bet. We ended up scoping out three park areas before we settled at Quiet Waters. We bumped into a family leaving as we unloaded the truck - they said they only caught a couple of blue crabs on their rods. Turns out we only did slightly better - La had a blue crab on early, but when she got it to the surface, it spooked and let go. After a little bit of time, she did bring a White Perch to hand. She caught it all by herself - despite Noe offering assistance at multiple points in the process. After that, La and Noe went up the steps and admired (caught by hand) the moths and butterflies that were in the overlook garden. Marlon went on to catch a blue crab, but when it saw us gearing up to bring it up and over, it decided it would be best to let go and find lunch at a different venue. I ended up catching NOTHING!!! That's fishing...
