As I said, Marlon taught himself to standup on the boogie board on Friday evening. We went to WRV afterwards and bought him a Beater board. Saturday afternoon we're back at the beach and Marlon is standing up on the Beater. Smaller wave faces, but much cleaner. In some ways that made it better for learning. No matter - he was up and even discussing the intricacies of using body weight to turn the board up on to the wave face. It must be the genes....
