I had to wait a bit to get to the beach today (I was using La's car while she was taking Marlon's car to get serviced, and Marlon had my truck) - so I figured I'd get some progress on Tim's foil.
I sanded down the epoxy fill and faired out the volume distribution. Here's the port foil wing tip.
Here's the whole foil washed off (and ready for laminating the tips).
I did get to change the foil section - where he wanted the new wingtip was far enough back that this section was pretty thick. I thinned it out and used the epoxy to make a stable base for the carbon.
Not easy -
