Evening Session - 4/8/2022

I had made an appointment to get my two Reedin SWX wings worked on.  The seams along the leading edge on some of the wings out there were starting to pull.  Our local distributor was able to get some reinforcements from Reedin and we were told to make appointments with Brenda to get them sewn on.  I dropped them off Friday morning and I got the call mid afternoon that the wings were ready for pick up.  That unfortunately put me in the middle of some thick Friday afternoon traffic (there were two accidents).

After I got home, there was plenty of light and there was supposed to be SSW swell starting to fill in.  I ended up bolting on the Kujira 1210 on to the PC 75cm mast.  I figured with the swell, the action would be further outside and the foils wouldn't hit bottom despite the lower tide.  Well - the action was outside, but the waves were actually pitching lip - not good for taking off with a foil.

I ended up only catching one wave - but it was a long one and I rode it all the way back to the beach.  At least I didn't get skunked!

There was some wind blowing around also.  Eli was outside with a 7m Blue Planet Alien wing.  He would be off and riding some impressive waves, but then the wind would die and he'd be stuck inside.

It was kinda choppy also.

These pictures were from Marlon and his drone.
