Bass Pro Shop Pilgrimage

Even though we've been in here a bunch of times, I just had to do it... I love this setup - some day... That said, I don't buy everything at BSP - I got this from Jo-Ann's across the freeway. $2.50 with a 50% off coupon!

Artsy Stuff

Carvings at the Men's Restroom in the North Terminal of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Giant cephalopods at the Tacoma Bass Pro Shop. I posted similar pics a while back, but they are so awesome that I'll post them any chance I get.

So Good We Came Back - And Were AMAZED Even More!!!

We brought the kids to the Bass Pro Shop. We took a closer look around and the Fish Bowl at the Tacoma BSP is really a bowling alley - UNBELIEVABLE!!! It doesn't get any cooler than this! These paintings are at the Fish Bowl entrance. I bought some Malin Malon wire - I hope this is the stuff you can make bite tippet with by twisting and using a lighter to melt the end holding the fly... I'll let ya'll know in a couple of weeks (I've got an appointment with some kaku out at Pearl Harbor). More pictures from around the shop If you find yourself on I-5 driving through Tacoma Washington, do yourself a favor and stop in.

Lakewood Washington Bass Pro Shop

The Fish Bowl - complete with pins and the classic round globe. The decor was really cool - awesome fly tying table. Big stuffed bear. We're going to get one of the propane burner sets to cook fish 'outside' the house (La loves fried fish, but not the fried fish smell) Definitely one of the better BSPs!

Crashing at the Bro's Casa

Thanks David! We had a great time! However, a side effect of the visit is continuous criticism from my own children about how small my truck is in comparison to Uncle David's Crew Cab Raptor. That's ok - my ego is intact. We also enjoyed re-checking out the first Bass Pro Shop we ever went to. Marlon remembered he didn't like the "bridge" with the two boars hanging out - and he mentioned that he's over it now (such a big dude!!!). Lastly - Marlon and Noe got to see their old paddleboards one last time. Glad to see their "niece" is getting good use out of the boards!

Bass Pro Shop Baton Rouge

One of our pitstops along the way - I really like the character of this shop. Makes you feel like you're fishing/hunting in the bayous. The Alligator Gar display is my absolute favorite! I'm going to have to learn to tie this crab fly. Always a fun time at the BSP!
