Weekend Regattaing

Marlon and Noe both sailed in races this weekend.  Marlon sailed on Saturday and Noe sailed both Saturday and Sunday.  Noe got 2nd on Saturday and a 3rd today, and Marlon got a 3rd yesterday.

I towed on Saturday out to Kaneohe and back again today.  I like towing.  And I like helping to make sure these kids (all of them at Pearl Harbor Yacht Club) get to sail.

Have I said I love this truck????

This Weekend's Sailing

Noe sailed in two separate races this weekend - the El Toro States and the Bullship.  She had fun despite the oppressive temperatures and humidity.

Always a good time sailing the Windward side!

Lots of Boats Racing Yesterday

Noe raced in the HYSA #8 race - the BICs were invited so there were another 18 boats in the water and other races going on around Kaneohe.

Pulling the boat trailer out of KYC was pretty comical (watching everybody stack boats in and on top of trucks, cars and dollies).

So La isn't a "Soccer Mom" - she's a "Sailing Mom"!!!

My Favorite Sailors

I love my kiddoroosters!!!

And I'm so happy that they have the opportunity to sail as much as they do and that they've really taken to racing and doing their best!  Good luck kids - I'll be cheering for you (while I'm at work...)

Marlon and Noe Dominating!!!

We woke up early this past Saturday to help setup for the Pearl Harbor Yacht Club HYSA Regatta. Putting up a tent, I had flashbacks of field exercises...

The kids from all the clubs had a great time -

But it was these two that dominated!!! First and second place finishes!!!

Marlon and Noe Racing

Speaking of the kids racing, Marlon and Noe did race yesterday at a Waikiki Yacht Club sponsored race. The conditions were really tough - fast counter currents, wind from every direction, no wind, and some confused racers (learn your rules people, Marlon and Noe did), but the kids still had fun.
