Ok We're Back Home - Catch Up Vaca Posts

Short trip to Kauai - every minute was well spent! This was lunch shortly after we landed - Smiley's!!! We dropped into the ACE Hardware in Lihue (across from lunch) - they had a bunch of fishing and camping gear, and even some jewelry making supplies (that surprisingly looked a lot like fishing gear). Squid Skirt Magic

The lure I rigged after I got back from Hawaii 'killed' it today!!!

I took my trolling rod out in the ocean today - we trolled for a while before hooking up.

First was a 30+ pound wahoo on the subject lure.

Joe brought in another wahoo (on a Yozuri).

And Dan brought in a nice sized Yellowfin (on the mojo skirt - yeah baby!)

Another boat trip where I - yes me - brought in the biggest fish - it's the magic mojo lures!

Good weekend for fishing!!!!

I lost the purple ceramic one to a grouper (or the bottom).

If the weather cooperates, I'll use the squid jigs on Sunday bottom fishing.

I was using a Mark White 7" Bullet in Cobalt Blue -

We did well today!

Trolling and Flyfishing are definitely polar opposites, but the one thing they have in common is "when it's good - it's good", "when it's bad, it is down right frustrating and hugely suckomungous.

Trolling today did not suck, not like losing three BFT after hook ups (this morning).
