Patagonia Honolulu - Rell Sunn

We stopped by the new Patagonia Honolulu today.  Turns out the building is pretty much dedicated to Rell Sunn.  From one of her surfboards and books from her library, to some of her furniture, the Patagonia folks did a wonderful job creating a reflection of Rell.

This picture is huge - takes up a large portion of the makai wall.

They also had some items from the Hokulea

Make sure to stop by if you are in the area!!!

Hokulea is Home

While we were at Pearl Harbor for the regatta, the Hokulea arrived at Magic Island after a three year voyage around the planet (I didn't take this picture - I pulled it down from the internet).

While we were waiting for Noe to finish a flute practice, Marlon and I went to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor to check out the Hokulea berthed across.

It was easier than going to Magic Island and trying to get closer with tens of thousands of people trying to do the same thing. And it is always fun to checkout the other boats in the harbor (like this one - big cat!)
