Surf Report 10/15/2014 Part 2
The kids had some shore break action

And by the end of the day, Marlon had ventured out into the realm of the unbroken wave. I think he is still intimidated by the drop, but I reassured him that that will quickly become the most exciting part of surfing (taking the drop and leaning into that first bottom turn of the wave - making torque and G's out of speed, gravity and positioning).

Surf Report 10/9/2014
Small day - but the tide drained out far (due to the full moon). We were able to see a part of the beach that doesn't get dry all that often. That changed the breaking wave pattern a lot - but the waves were small anyways.

Super fun day!!!

Not Big Boards
For the longest time now I have been ferrying really big SUPs on top on the Surf Taco. I wasn't even sure the Beater would fit between the rack span.
I'm only posting because this looked really funny to me.

Surf Report 9/28/2014
Marlon and Noe both enjoyed some surf as the tide lowered (they didn't like the 'full' swell at peak high tide).

Marlon is leaning into his turns now, but the board isn't turning as well as I thought it would. My fat arse is too big to try it out for myself, so I'll have to keep an eye out on this. I'm not sure if it isn't turning because Marlon is only 75 pounds, or if the quad setup is too loose. Noe is getting good at popping up now. And she is really keeping her weight back (so she doesn't pearl dive).

Surf Report 9/17/2014 Part 1
Marlon got his turns down today! The swell from Hurricane Edouard came in today. Not as big as I was hoping, but it wasn't flat so hurrah to the surf!!!!

The kids actually caught way more waves than I did - hawking the peak doesn't always pay... They dominated the inside!

I had the gopro still attached to my SUP paddle so I was able to get some higher angled shots. I think they definitely add depth to the picture. GO MARLON!!!!

Surf Report 9/14/2014
Same surf as yesterday (too small for my fat ass, but perfect for the others in my awesome family). La brought out the 4th Gear Flyer today - and everyone took turns having a blast on it. I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's the best board I've ever owned!!!
