Jason and Mikaila's Elopement

My old friend Jason and his new wife Mikaila eloped (with friends and family present) this past Monday at Papailoa Beach up on the North Shore.  La and I made the trip up to be there!!!

There were a bunch of honu in the super shallows.  In all my time on this island, I actually think this was the first time I went down this road and stepped on this beach.  I figured as much because I hadn't seen this gate before (and I certainly would have remembered it).

Awesome small Hawaiian wedding on the beach!!!!  And we followed it up with dinner (reception) at Haleiwa Joe's.  Here's La's whole fried fish

It didn't stand a chance!!!  Congratulations Jason and Mikaila!!!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!

Fish for Dinner

Noe wanted fried pompano for her birthday - so I got her some fried pompano.  But while doing that, I saw some mahi fillets and grabbed a few.  A little salt, a little pepper, some butter to fry them in and BAM!!!

So yummy!!!

Papio Dinner

Whoa! Late posting... been trying to work paperwork for closing on a house, looking for transportation options, and making bacon at the office. Sorry for the lack of posts folks out there who care. I have gone fishing a couple of times since the last Saturday at the Holoholo, but I didn't catch anything so I went sans post. I'll start posting more since a major effort at work has subsided. Starting here - this was dinner last Sunday - the two papio I caught at the fishpond. Really delicious fried crisp with only salt and pepper as seasoning. I was thinking about making some gyotaku out of these, but I got hungry.

Monday Night Dinner

Self explanatory.

Delicious. Especially the parrotfish - light delicate and when cooked with butter and salt, especially delicious. Did I say that already?

I ate this guy to the bone - perfect dinner!

La - you would have loved this!
