Turtling

Not the surfing maneuver, but the act of catching turtles. Noe has a fan club at the lake now - as soon as the kids show up, so do the turtles. They've even drew in a new species - I think it is a young snapping turtle, but it could also be an adolescent long neck. I'm going to have to file the tips off the hooks the kids use so they don't hook these guys. Amazing what a hot dog will catch!

Catch of the Day June 28th - Part 1

I took the kidoroosters fishing again - this time I rigged plain hooks (size 6 and 8) and showed them how to place hotdogs on the barbs. They scored with some bluegill and a turtle each. ALL CATCHES WERE RELEASED UNHARMED.
