Funny Faces

Since there were a lot of them - they get their own post ;)

In Between and After

I initially paddled out with Marlon on the Firewire. I was able to catch a few while Marlon was waiting for his wave. I also caught up with Noe who was using a tiny boogie board to ride the shorebreak more efficiently. Marlon caught another and got to standup on the board!!! I wasn't in position to take photos, but I did see him get up! At some point I did get on the SUP and caught a bunch of little ones ;) I'm glad the sun is making it's way back to the Northern hemisphere - that's means more time to surf after work!!!

Marlon's Wave

We went out after I got back from the Dentist's office today - nice, fun conditions - especially for budding young surfers (like Marlon)! Marlon's first wave on his new board (and 'yes' that water in the face wasn't fun)!!! Marlon got another and stood up! Fun times! A good fit between Marlon and his new board!

Funny Picture

How did Noe get so tall????

Oceanic Glass

Some cool glass art that Noe took a fondness to at a local gallery.

Surf and Turf for Christmas

I made some ahi poke and smoked ribs for Christmas. The poke came out great! I miscalculated and left the ribs in for an hour and a half too long - some parts got too dry. There were still some great, juicy sections - but I need to work out a better formula for the smoking time (or drop the temp in the Big Green Egg down to 230 degrees F). I hope you got to spend time with those you love and had a meal or two together - as we have all upped the rat race every year, getting to slowdown for a few days and remember why we work so hard is important. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day 2015

There are funny stories linked to the gifts we got the kids - but you'll have to stop by and have a beer to get them ;) The kids love their outdoor exploration equipment! Marlon did a great job waxing up the board. We took it out for a spin and he was fearless!!! The conditions were tough - super strong trades and a weak swell. I had to jump on the SUP to catch anything.
