Christmas Eve and Noe's Birthday Celebration Snorkel
Christmas Eve to us is Christmas Eve, but it is also Noe's Birthday!!! This year, Noe wanted to explore Haunama Bay, but the wind was up so I suggested Shark's Cove up on the North Shore. Noe approved and off we went!
Very clear water and a rising tide made for great snorkeling conditions.
We got to try out our big "tako box" - La's new favorite tool!
We saw three different types of sea urchin - vana (hurts if you get hit), rock borer (ina - not usually associated with hits) and the pin cushion (tons of sucker feet).
And we saw tons of fish (and they know they are protected in this little tide pool - they aren't scared of humans). Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, hinalea, manini, sergeant majors, gobies, a trumpetfish, tobies, and a bunch of other stuff.
Noe (and Marlon and La and I) had a great time!!! We'll be back!
