Evening Session - 1/24/2025

Headed out to the Pavillions area for an afternoon Foil Drive session.  There was a fisherman who had lined up poles all across the launch/landing zone - so I kept going down to the Bunker's parking lot.

The surf was smaller - half the size of yesterday's session.  When Marvin and Norm pulled up, we figured Bunker's was the most consistent.

Same gear on my behalf (and Norm's - and even Marvin... good ol'e Kujira 980!!!)

The time at Bunker's was actually pretty slow.  There were waves, but they were small and the section they were peaking at was shallow.

After a few waves there, I saw Swabbie's starting to work so I headed over.

I got to ride a few waves and the classic takeoff closer to the reef followed by a run to the left and getting to push hard off the building left peak - it doesn't get much better than this!!!

Then Norm pushed through to Pavillions and we all followed.  By this time the waves were actually picking up a bit.  We were at the western end of Pavillions so I could head to the right and get super long rides.

Pretty cool image - riding three sequential breaks!!!

Swabbie's and Pavilions are quickly becoming some of my favorite breaks - especially when that west moving block comes through and runs perpendicular to any south swell coming through!

I'll call this 17 rides today - riding with a couple of friends, no kooks around to drop in on you, and bathymetry that keeps the waves running - what more can you ask for???!!!

Awesome session today!
