Fishing the Scott F7543
This is actually the second time I've had this rod out to cast and the bluegill is the second fish I've brought to hand with it. In it's action, it feels very similar to it's cousin the Scott F2 6533 - very pleasing to cast. Squarely in the 'medium' action bandwidth. I used an Airflo DT4 line with the rod and it feels like a perfect fit. I did previously cast it with a SA Mastery WF4 - and I didn't feel like it had the right hold on the line. As far as fishing goes, the past couple of outings have been really tough. The rain flooded out the Lake Newport area a bit and it is only now the piscine residents are getting resettled. That means the normal fishy spots aren't fishy right now. That's fishing...
