Saturday Afternoon Spin/Fly Fishing

I tried fishing here early morning but the beaches were closed. I drove back over to Kaneohe to make some hand board/planes (for body surfing) blanks, but tried fishing over there before going to Charlie's house. The water was super clear and you could see the fish swimming around. Unfortunately, they could see you too. And the fishing line. And that the lure wasn't natural - you get the picture. I'll post another blog entry to show what the blanks look like. I eventually got back to Hickam in the late afternoon. These two guys (you'll have to zoom in) were using spin gear and were continuously casting to the same spot. I think they were catching papio... because that's what I caught.
