Marlon and I hit WPB this evening. Derek, Brian and Roland were out on wings. Derek was jumping all over the place. I almost regretted not bringing the winging gear, but I could sense the wind dropping.
Marlon caught a couple on his longboard (I rode one wave with him), then headed in to drone - he got some really good footage today (these are just some quick screen shots).
I also wanted to keep dialing in the Takuma Kujira 1440. The swell had dropped off a hair, so the takeoffs were more manageable with the ginormous front foil.
Duke was on the inside ripping it up.
I got a bunch of double dips - but I'm going to have to figure out the pumping cadence for this setup. The Youtube videos of guys going for really long pump runs (:30 on foil just pumping around) and my own experience definitely show the potential of this foil. I was also turning this wing harder today - a little bit easier to do so with the lower energy waves.
