Wing Foiling Session - 4/15/2022

The wind was roaring for most of the day - so I figured I had all day to go out.  La and I were getting some things done around the house, and we didn't get to Hickam until 3pm.  I was a little worried since the clouds moved in.

Harris set up his big gear - pretty telling.  I followed suite - SWX 5.2, Kujira 1210, WWFB.

As soon as I launched, it seemed like the wind died off completely.  It took almost 10 minutes for me to get in the wind field and up on foil.

My watch didn't have a lot of battery charge in it and it died completely halfway through the session.

The wind was really up and down.  The glide from the 1210 and the ability of the SWX to generate lift from apparent wind saved me in the lulls.  And I just dumped the excess pull during the gusts.  Not ideal conditions, but fun and challenging - especially on the outside surfing at Firsts.  I was actually on foil for almost the whole session.

The wind was forecasted to be stronger than it was... good thing I brought the big gear!
