I went winging again - this time I decided to go earlier to get the wind at its peak.
Same gear as the previous days - SWX 5.2, WWFB, 85cm Project Cedrus Mast, Kujira 1210
The wind was super up and down today. At times I thought I needed to go back in and either drop the wing size or swap out the foil to the 980. Then other times the wind felt like it had died completely. You can see the blue lines buried under the yellow.
The large dip in the wind pretty much coincided with a large set bowling through. I had caught the first wave of the set and rode it from the outside. I had done a top turn to take another drop as the wave was rising, but I tripped and went down. The other waves behind were bigger and feathering on the outside. I couldn't go anywhere and the wave was pitching in front of me. I held on to the luffing handle of the wing and rode it out. There were three big waves in that set - the last two were smaller and I was able to keep the wing above the white water. I checked the wing over - seems none for the worse.
Tough day on the water.
