The reports indicated that the wind would be light in the morning for all the spots, except for Kailua.
And the wind was marginal. When I got there, only a few people were out on the water.
I figured I might as well try since I drove all that way out.
Same gear as yesterday
And almost the same situation -
Good start and initial run. Then the wind faulters and I have to paddle to get to the wind line. Then up and riding until the wind starts to fall off under doable levels.
The chart below is deceiving by itself. From the looks of it, I was up and riding for most of the session - with lots of turns and only three schlogging events.
But when coupled with this chart, the opposite can be said.
Of note - at :27 I threw a heelside tack, but couldn't power up after. I came off foil and spent a long time waiting for another gust to get back up.
It's definitely harder to parawing in up and down wind conditions.
