Parawing Session - 10/19/2025

Got in a parawing session this afternoon.  Kalani also went and used a bunch of new to him equipment - a Code 1075R/135 tail and the North Mode Pro 5.5 he got from me.

Arvin was launching when we got there, and he said Matt had just left.

There was wind - but it wasn't as strong as yesterday.

I brought the same gear I used yesterday afternoon.  I wanted a simple session - just riding and maybe some tacking practice.

Besides being lighter, the wind was also up and down - also much more than yesterday.

Lots of blue where I was waiting for gusts - lots of red when I was up and riding.

After drifting downwind during a series of lulls, I was able to get up and I wanted to make up a bunch of lost ground - I headed out to the tip of the runway, caught a small wave and rode it back.

Kalani saw I had headed out and he made his way out also - but I passed him heading back in and I gave him the look of "it ain't worth it"

The wind stayed up long enough for me to get back inside (no paddling for me today!)

I tried a couple of tacks on the inside.  I got one around - I may actually try to work the mechanics of the tacks out on a skateboard...

Kalani was mostly up on foil - looks like he just needed a bigger foil!!!

I think I would have been up on foil more if I had put up the BRM Maliko 5.1

Ups and downs that largely followed the gusts.

The forecast is calling for wind for the foreseeable future - my parawinging count should pull ahead of the winging count this week.
