Wing Foiling Session - 4/14/2025

Nice high tide (but I still touched bottom trying to launch).  Fun sized surf on the sets.  But choppy surface texture and winds that were unsettled - way up then way down.

I didn't have confidence in the wind, so I setup No.40 with the Enduro 900/HA40.

Pumped up the North Nova Pro 5.0 - which turned out to be a really good call.

Zach and Eddy were out already when I pulled up into the parking lot.  Eli was observing the conditions.  Roland launched well after everyone else and Duke pulled up when my gear was drying.

I had to paddle out a considerable distance to get to the wind line.  From there - it was a game of "don't fall down - because you might not get up again"

This chart didn't relay the real conditions.

The front end of the session was not fun.  But the back 2/3's was pretty darn fun - large set waves that ran for considerable distances.  In fact - I rode them too far in and had to pump back out to avoid getting clobbered by the waves breaking on the inside.

This has been a fun run of wind.  Tomorrow is La's birthday so likely no session for me (but instead I get to celebrate my lovely wife's favorite holiday!!!)
