Wing Foiling Session - 5/10/2025

The wind was forecasted to come up to strong levels today.

When I got to the beach, the early crew was already finishing up their session.

I setup No.40 with the AFS Silk 650/HA40/85cm UHM mast

And I pumped up the North Nova Pro 4.2

Really fun session today!!!  Good strong winds - and the waves at Seconds were giant.

I caught plenty of waves - and a few of them over at Seconds were bombs - well over head (almost 2X over).  The waves at Firsts were also good, but not quite as thrilling as Seconds.

Mark and Prayot were spending most of their time at Seconds - I didn't want to risk my gear so I only took waves from the outside and tried to stay where I had an emergency exit.

I felt comfortable with the Nova Pro 4.2 - never felt overpowered, but a few times I had to pump through the lulls.

Totally cool the majority of the session was up on foil.

When I came through to the inside towards the end of the session, I did my usual speed runs - pretty cool that the Silk 850 got to 24.3mph!!!

Fun session!!!  I'm probably going to skip water time tomorrow to rest up (and to be present for Mother's Day).
