The winds finally filled in and was well behaved. I hit Hickam in the interest of time and...
So I could test this setup out while minimizing the consequences of not being able to get the PW to get the Enduro 900 up onto foil.
With the wind as strong as it was, I used the BRM Maliko 4.0
I got up without a whole lot of drama.
My first 5 mile split wasn't that great. The second was 24 minutes and the last was 20 minutes.
If I had put up the BRM Ka'a 3.6, I may have gone to Firsts (it looked full on nuclear out there). But I stayed inside, practiced my jibes and got familiarized with how No.40 and the Enduro 900 worked together.
Arvin came out after a bit. Then I saw Harris head out towards the end of my session (I wanted to get out the gate before traffic settled in). And then as I was packing up, I saw Ral (who I bought the F One DW135XS rear stabilizer from). He was using Hickam to learn the ways of the parawing.
Perfect range for the Maliko 4.0
And a top speed of 22.0mph - not too shabby
I'm going to have to experiment with this setup more - and see if I can get the same performance in lower winds with bigger parawings - I know the answer should be 'it'll be the same' but I have had situations where the smaller foils and bigger PWs haven't worked (maybe I sucked).
