I had hoped the wind would start to fill back in as originally forecasted - but that wasn't the case. The low pressure system isn't clearing out as fast as I would like.
So I headed back home and contemplated what I should spend my afternoon doing.
I figured today was a good day to start down a path I have long wanted to tread. I was going to sew!!!
I cutout the pieces I knew I needed and got to threading the machine.
Then I started sewing some test runs to adjust the tension. It took a bit but I got there. These are the component pieces each with two runs of straight stitches to hold the form and length that I needed.
Then I set about to sew them together into the webbing manager holder for the Ion Wing Foiling Harness. With this piece of webbing sewn together, I can now use this chest harness for parawinging. This harness doubles as body armor so I'll have more protection during falls.
I am so stoked after getting this small but meaningful project completed!!!
And I am looking forward to many, many more sewing projects. I want to get to know this machine well and make a bunch of useful things to make watersports more effective and also get good at making wing and parawing repairs.
And so it begins!!!
