Wing Foiling Session - 8/2/2023

Good strong winds this afternoon.  It had some north in it again (like all summer), but it was manageable at 045.  The tide was huge at 2.7' - I hardly had to paddle out to flip the board and get going.

No.25, 85cm Project Cedrus mast, Eagle 1090/DW210 and the Reedin SW2 5.2

Prayot was out - first winging session since getting back (he got his express shipment today - which contained his wings).  Eli and Roland completed the wing crew today.

Not bad for 1:20 -

There were waves breaking, even with the high tide - but they weren't standing up and running like they would have on a lower tide.  I had plenty of fun waves - and even several where I luffed - so no complaining here.

I opted for the 5.2 - just because I didn't want to have to paddle today.  I was comfortably powered with this wing.  I think I could have easily used the Eagle 890 - but oh well.

Lots of blue (up on foil) today!

I did wear a helmet today - mainly because of the visor and it helping to keep the sun off my stitches.  Tomorrow is supposed to be windy again - but not as windy as today.
