Marlon has been S L O W L Y transforming into a dawn patrol person. He was still groggy on the drive to the beach, but wide awake once we got to the sand.
There are still distinct benefits you can only get on a dawn patrol.
I brought out the same setup - HS1250/232/wide 4'10". I actually got a couple of really long rides - 833' on my last wave! There was some chop in the water that made riding a bit challenging.
