I've been trying to kick a cold for the past few days - I think I finally have gotten past the worst.
The wind was light - really light, but I brought out the uber light wind gear.
No.25 and the Eagle 1090 - it doesn't get much better than this.
And the now ubiquitous SW2 5.2 - definitely my workhorse as of late.
There was a lot of north in the wind (no surprise there) and it was actually pretty good strength. I think the wind meter was 2 notches lighter than actual. Really good stats on the mileage!
I got in some outstanding tacks on to peaking waves. I'm going to have to start working on my inside tack (my weakest transition).
I even managed to catch a few of the bigger set waves (head high).
Lots of wingers out today - Roland, Duke, Eddy, Prayot, myself, Kalani and Norm.
Norm pretty much kept above Fenceline, and everybody else was below Towers (I kinda drifted across both).
I'm not sure where the erroneous readings came from (from a fall???) - so the reast of the readings were hard to discern from the resulting scale. Don't think I broke 20mph, but I was up on foil for most of the session.
Duke's giant board and Kalani's KT Dragonfly....
Which ate his SW2 6.0 wing (nose poke)
Some days you win - some days you lose.
