Nose Job, Surform, Dragon Skin, and 60 Grit Runs

And after Marlon's board, I jumped on No.21 -

I took the planer to the nose to get more of the bulk off.  Then I switched to the surform, followed by the dragon skin, and finally the sanding screen (60 grit).

This is the top deck

And the bottom deck

Bottom deck again

And the top deck.  Now the fun (sarcastically written) really begins.  Routing out the slot for the foam track block.  Measuring the foot strap reinforcement block locations, then cutting those out.  Setting the blocks in place with epoxy and scrap carbon fiber.  Doing the finer grit sandings  Cutting out the slots for the twin longboard boxes (mast tracks).  Glassing the boxes in, followed by laminating the bottom deck.  Fair in the laps, set the footstrap inserts in place and laminate the top deck.  Fair in the laps and fill coat the bottom.  Fill coat the top.  Grind down the mast track laminate.  Fill coat again.  Sand, sand, sand.  You get the picture - lots of work yet.

Another couple of hours spent today - that brings to cum total to 5 hours.
