And after the sanding and spraying, I hit the beach. The tide was finally high enough at 0.9' that I felt it was ok to foil (and with that I still hit bottom once). There was hardly any wind, but there was hardly any surf either - thigh high on the good sets.
I bolted on the HS1850 - I caught several waves and pumped back out on most. I was trying out a new leash - the Double Coil from Kaohi. It is nice - but it did get under my foot a couple of times. I rode a few of the waves all the way to the beach.
The forecasts are calling for a wrap from a large NW swell sometime this weekend - hopefully its here on the dawn patrol...
