Something new(ish) has come out of Maui... The BRM Parawing (Maliko) is a hybrid single skin kite/wing that can go upwind (as well as a wing).
I ordered a 5.1 and it came in today.
Small box -
Everything is fully assembled and fits nicely in the small box.
I ordered the waist pack that the wing can be stuffed into while riding a wave
Just stuff it inside -

It had been folded into 5 sections

The bar is really simple and intuitive

This was after I had put away the winging gear and by this time the wind was falling off quickly.
The 5.1 actually needs a fair amount of wind to stay pressurized
I am looking forward to getting the hang of this (and have high hopes that this will actually replace the inflated wings... not having to swim around an inflated wing will make self-rescues and launches much easier.
