Wing Foiling Session - 9/2/2022

Winged again after work.  Used the same equipment as yesterday.  The wind was a hair better today - but the lanes were more prominent (definite lull zones).  Everything including the waves were just like yesterday.

Got 16.9 miles in today.  The two nearly horizontal lines to the leftt of the track are two runs where the waves were standing up closer to shore, and I rode regular foot with the wing depowered (but still holding on to both handles).  Super fun - but I have to watch out for surfers - they are hard to see in the afternoon sun.  I don't get to ride these as long as I'd like because of the number of surfers in the lineup.

This chart is from the airport (the Kalaeloa meter is further inland and it really isn't reflective of what goes on at the beach).  It shows there was a lot of north in the wind.  The airport also gets it wind from the Kalihi Valley (where WPB gets a mix from the central part of the island and wind skirting the lower part of the south shore).  In the gusts, the 6.1 was almost too much wing.

Great big wing session!!!
